Stayed in Kerfiac for one week for an immersive French course and really had an amazing time! Bernard is an excellent teacher with great experience, and the course itself is tailored to your needs and adjusted along the way if deemed necessary. His explanation skills and patience, combined with the course material and personal work, left me with a progression I didn’t expect to be possible beforehand. Other than most language courses, I actually progressed a lot in French that can be applied in real life, simply because of the focus on speaking/phonetics. Thank you so much! The stay itself is equally pleasant, in a tranquil area between the farms and chickens. The food is delicious and they really go the extra mile to give you the full French experience. Also the lodging is great, with a large and comfortable bathroom + shower for yourself. Would certainly recommend anybody who is serious about learning French to visit Real French

I completed the Real French, 5-day immersion course in January this year. The program was exactly what I was looking for and I recommend it to anyone looking to improve their French. The meals were all delicious and I enjoyed getting to practice speaking in French with Bernard during this time. The room I stayed in was so charming and I enjoyed going for walks in the countryside between lessons. I took 5 private lessons each day with Bernard and Théo. Both teachers are extremely patient and explain difficult concepts clearly. I left feeling that I had made a lot of progress and I look forward to returning one day!

After an online review of all the FLE immersion courses available in France, I selected an intensive week at the Real French location in Kerfiac, France, under the tutorship of Bernard Henusse. Bernard is an exceptional instructor with a curriculum that is professional and extremely well-organized. After an evaluation of my skill level in various aspects of French, Bernard tailored a course that was specifically structured to my needs. In the end, those areas where I was the weakest at the beginning of the week showed the greatest improvement in my final evaluation. I am pleased and amazed at the overall improvement. Bernard also provided me with learning tools to assist in my future studies at home. While my experience was focused on personalized, intense instruction, Bernard and his family were extremely friendly and hospitable throughout my stay. The meals were delicious and the accommodations wonderfully comfortable and private. The rural location afforded a beautiful and relaxing environment to walk in the afternoons providing a perfect way to balance out the day.

Bonjour I had planned – and indeed completed – an in-depth strengthening of my French language skills with Bernard Henusse. The lessons at his school were, as always, conducted one-to-one, which ensured personal and individual guidance. My progress in French was excellent. For example, in 2017 it enabled me to deliver a dignified speech at the 20th anniversary of our French subsidiary and to maintain an engaged dialogue with the employees. I have visited Kerfiac three times to study French with Bernard in his lovely country home with his family, and I hope to return in 2026. The first time, I was very nervous when I arrived but Bernard instantly put me at ease with his passion for helping me with my French and with his wonderful sense of humour! He teaches real French that you can use everyday, not textbook French. Bernard pays attention to detail and at the same time, he creates a very safe atmosphere where you are encouraged to talk and make mistakes, without feeling stressed. He has a talent for finding interests in common and he and I have enjoyed hours and hours of lively conversation on a huge variety of subjects, which has expanded my vocabulary and my understanding of French culture and life considerably. His love of words and language is contagious! Bernard offers his students the opportunity to continue working with him on line after they have left Kerfiac, which has been extremely beneficial for me. I highly recommend Bernard and I look forward to my next trip to Kerfiac!
